God’s Love Endures Forever

My Easter message to you:

He died for our sins so that we may be free.  Are we really free?  We are an independent people, we want to do what we want, when we want to.  But are we really free?  In order to be truly free we need to give ourselves over to our Maker in order for Him to free us.

A paradox but what in this world of ours is not.  The more we struggle the more we become entangled.

Let go and let God rule your life, you find more freedom than you have ever experienced.

Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good.
His love endures forever.
Give thanks to the God of gods.
His love endures forever.
Give thanks to the Lord of lords:
His love endures forever.
To him who alone does great wonders,
His love endures forever. Psalm 136:1-4 (NIV)

At the end of a Passover meal, they sang a hymn. They sang the same hymn at the end of every Passover meal and they’ve done it for thousands of years. It is Psalm 136.

The disciples sang this with Jesus. One of the Gospels says they sang a hymn and they went out. We know what hymn they sang because this the one you sing at the end of a Passover meal.

They sang, “Give thanks to the Lord for he is good, his love endures forever. Give thanks to the Lord of Lord’s, his love endures forever. To him who alone does great wonders, his love endures forever.”

As we celebrate the fact the Jesus sets us free, let’s, say this as a prayer to him:

You left your throne in heaven,
Your love endures forever.
You lived a perfect sinless life,
Your love endures forever.
You endured the humiliation of a trial,
Your love endures forever.
You went to a cross and willingly died,
Your love endures forever.
You were in the grave for three days,
Your love endures forever.
And on the third day you rose again,
Your love endures forever.

The celebration in heaven is going to be an amazing thing and Jesus invites you to be a part of it. How does that happen?  You accept the gift that he’s given you, the gift of forgiveness and life.

Starting a Home Based Business

3 Essential Steps You Must Consider First

By Jodi Cooper

Starting a Home Based Business can be as exciting as it is challenging, that’s why I would like to discuss 3 things that I believe should be considered, when Starting a home Based Business.

  1. So the first thing that you should consider is Mindset, are you in the right mindset for success?
  2. The next thing to consider is finding an opportunity that’s right for you. There are a lot of Home Based Business opportunity’s out there, it’s important you find one that fits.
  3. The third thing that I personally feel is essential when Starting a Home Based Business is having a mentor, somebody who’s been where you are and can guide you on your path to achieving your goals.

Mindset:

You know it’s amazing when we realise that the way we think, be it positive or negative it has a major effect on our outcome. Did you know the only thing that stands between us and what we want in life is the will to give it a go, and the faith to know it’s possible.

In order to be successful, we have to visualise our goals and then move towards them with unstoppable determination. As long as we know exactly what we want and we possess a strong desire to attain it, we will succeed.

You need to understand that you control your destiny, it’s your life and you have the power to conquer every obstacle on your path, if you believe in yourself and know that anything you set your mind to is absolutely possible if you are willing to put in the effort to achieve it.

The right opportunity:

Finding the right opportunity is essential to your success when Starting a Home Based Business.

  • You will need to find a Home Based Business that meets your requirements.
  • Does the opportunity feel right to you?
  • Do they have the right quality’s and value’s you are looking for?
  • Can they provide you with the education, training and resources you will need for Starting a Home Based Business?
  • Will they be there to support you on your journey and does this Home Based Business opportunity give you a sense of belonging. For example, does it make you feel that your in the right place, that by joining this business you will increase your chances of success, does it enable you to move forward and charge ahead with confidence knowing that you have a team of experienced marketers behind you willing to guide you and support you on your road to success.

Having a mentor:

Having a mentor is extremely important, you see we don’t start out as experts and if we did mentors would not be necessary. However, if you are like me and so many others, then you will find that there are quite a few areas you will come across when Starting a Home Based Business, where you could use someone to help point you in the right direction.

Having a mentor to me is like having my own personal trainer to keep me focused and accountable for the success of my Home Based Business, to believe in me and to be there to answer any questions I have. They help you brainstorm and inform you of avenues you may not of even known existed let alone thought about.

Remember your mentor wasn’t born with a Home Based Business, They too had to start somewhere. They have been in your situation and they understand the path that lies before you. They know what you need to do in order to achieve your goals. They work with you, talk you through you goals and give you options, so that you can have a clear understanding of what to do next.

So the 3 things to consider when Starting a Home Based Business are:

  • having the right mindset for success, know that you control your destiny.
  • Finding the right opportunity with the resources, training, education and support.
  • Finally having a mentor to guide you along the way.

Congratulations you are already 3 steps closer to achieving your goal of starting a Home Based Business. Although just the knowing of these 3 steps is only knowledge, if you want to leverage the knowledge you have to take action. Find out if you have the right mindset, if not get in the right mindset. Go out and find an opportunity that suits you.

Take action, because it’s only you that can make a difference in your life.

If you would like to see my journey and how I got started with my home based business feel free to visit my blog.  I look forward to meeting you.

Working From Home – Just a Dream or a Possible Reality?

By Troy R Blaskin

Working from home is becoming a very interesting option for a lot of people. Weather you want to spend more time with your family or friends. Or want to have the extra income for buying all your toys. Whatever the reason Online marketing is becoming very popular.

And here lies the problem, there is a lot of scams and junk programs out there that promise thousands of dollars a week for just hitting a couple of buttons on your computer. If it sounds to good to be true it probably is.

Here are some key points you must look at if you want to be successful in online marketing.

  • Don’t buy the first program that you see, there are so many out there take the time to do your research. This is your own business so you have to treat it like one. Your not going to start making thousands of dollars a week right out of the gates. It takes time to build up your new business.
  • Your mindset is very important if you want to succeed. Making money online isn’t going to happen by itself. It’s going to take some effort for you to get things set up.
  • The auto-pilot promise. It may be true that once you have everything set up and running smoothly that your business to some degree will run on auto-pilot but it will take some work to get to that stage.

There are some very good programs out there to make really good money online. Good enough that it could replace your normal income.

Online marketing can be a very exciting and it does offer challenges that would keep even the guru’s on their toes. I am not a computer guru at all and I found it pretty overwhelming when I first got into online marketing.

Setting up websites, coding this and blogging that. It seemed that I would never be successful due to all the things I didn’t know about computers. But I will say that every program that I have tried, I did learn something new. And with that knowledge it made my researching easier and easier.

Yes there was a time when I got very frustrated and wanted to give up. But that is where the mindset comes in, If you keep telling yourself that you will make this work, then it will. I will give you some quick tips on being successful.

  • When picking a program, the more support they offer the better. It’s frustrating when you get stuck on set up and have to wait a week or so to get help or support.
  • Be prepared for a steep learning curve, luckily most of the programs offer video tutorials which make it very nice and easy to go over the problem areas.
  • Keep a positive attitude, in my dark days of making no money it was easy to give up and move on. But I kept telling myself that there is obviously somebody making money online and I want to be one of them.

To your success!

I hope you enjoyed my article. I’ve got a video series I’d like to give you for free. In the series, you’ll discover how to make money online right from home. You can even start making as much as $100 a day with what I’ll show you for FREE.

Spring Gardening

I am diverting from my usual banter about making money on the Internet to getting out side after a long cold winter.  This winter has been to long and being coped up has made me yearn to get outside and get my hands in the dirt or mud for most of us.

I found this check list of things to do for the next few months to get ready for a glorious hot summer(?).  With the economy down, many people are turning to growing their own food.  I find that just getting outside and working in my garden is so therapeutic, if not thrifty.

A Spring Gardening Checklist

By Susan A. Anderson

The first step to a successful gardening season comes with the preparation needed to get your garden ready. How many of us have enthusiastically jumped full swing into the garden scene in mid May, only to be abandoning our efforts by early July with the vow to do it differently next season? Then interestingly we find ourselves in the same situation the following year, wondering how did that happen to me again!

Well why not keep that promise to yourself and start this year off with some organization and planning? Use the checklist guide below to get yourself moving in the right direction. Oh, and by the way….Happy Gardening!

VERY EARLY SPRING

Dream Up Your Vision for This Year’s Garden

  • 1. Get out the pad, pencil and sketch book. Start to record your thoughts, drawings, doodles, pictures, and ideas. This step is vital. It becomes the magic that enables you to move your ideas out of the mental state and into physical form.
  • 2. What do you want in your outdoor garden space? Ask yourself will it be flowers, veggies, herbs, furniture, decorations or a combination of all?
  • 3. What will be its purpose? Determine what it is you want from your garden experience…Here are some questions to ask: Is my garden’s purpose: To grow food? Grow flowers? To be a place of sanctuary? To be your stress reduction therapy? Or maybe your free exercise membership program? Foster a deeper connection with nature? Once you know the answer, it helps you to better formulate your plans.
  • 4. What do you imagine your garden will look like? Look through books, magazines, the Internet. Start to create in your mind what you see as manifesting in this season’s garden. Record that information in some way that is usable for you. As you plan, you can incorporate these images into your design.
  • 5. Organize your resources. What will you need to get this vision out of your idea book and into 3D form? Start researching suppliers for materials.

Order/purchase what you will need to have on hand at a later date. Check out local gardening groups that may be helpful. Checkout online garden forums. There are many free easy resources available to us that are just moments away from discovery. Take full advantage.

EARLY SPRING

  • 1. Cleanup: Go through your space where you will be gardening and start to clean up old debris from a previous season. I’m sure you don’t like to eat off of dirty plates, so too, don’t start your gardening season in a debris filled area.
  • 2. Pruning:Prune any fruit trees if you didn’t do so in the winter, this needs to be done before they blossom. Prune any low hanging branches from trees that may be a safety hazard.
  • 3. Start indoor seeds: Now is the time to get some of those early seeds planted indoors. Not sure which seeds to start indoors? Do an online search for a quick answer.
  • 4. Prepare your equipment: Be sure to check the lawnmower, trimmers, the tiller, the tools, etc to make sure anything you plan to use is in good working order. Nothing is more aggravating than taking out a piece of equipment to use, only to find out plans are delayed because you delayed planning.
  • 5. Sharpen tools: Your hand tools work best when they are cleaned and sharpened. You can thank yourself later on when you notice you are able to work more efficiently, effectively and productively, because you took the time to prepare.
  • 6. Clean out the shed if you have one: When you open the door to your garden shed, can you walk in? If not, now is the time to clear out the old, clean up and reorganize. It is amazing how much money you can save by finding something in the shed you have forgotten you had and therefore don’t need to go out and purchase.

This is also the time to cleanup any pots that will be used later. You might get creative and paint some of the old pots to give them a nice face lift.

Still harboring old chemicals from the days before you knew any better? Time to organize them and figure out where and how to properly dispose of them.

Will you be needing any trellis’ or garden growing walls or supports? Sift through your things, you may find a treasure trove of items that can be used to assemble or make some attractive supports for the garden. I once used an old metal, over the door, shoe rack as a trellis for morning glories. It is a thrill to me to use something unusual in the garden to solve a problem from a wacky perspective.

MID SPRING

  • 1. Spring planting:The hardy veggies can be planted now….see a list of what can be planted in your area. Where I live, it is a good time to put in the potatoes, onions, peas, broccoli, lettuce, collards, and mustard greens to name a few.
  • 2. Separate you plants: Now is the time to separate those perennials that are growing too big and would benefit from being separated. Plant them elsewhere or give them away to other gardening friends.
  • 3. Build your beds: Putting in raised bed? Digging new flower gardens? Adding an herb area? Now is the time to get these beds ready and then start to amend your soil.
  • 4. Prepare older beds: For those beds that have already seen prior action, take the time now to get them amended as well. The more you do in preparation of the soil, the healthier your plants will be.
  • 5. Mulching: Mulching now saves on weeding later. Nothing takes the fun out of gardening faster than seeing your beds overrun with armies of weeds. Don’t let yourself get to that place of total frustration where you feel you can never get control.
  • 6. Work your compost: Has your compost pile been laying dormant during the winter. Now that spring has arrived you can begin to work that compost pile back into full production. Composting is a science in itself. Check out other online resources that will help you in this area. Again, healthy soil leads to happy, healthy plants. Composting is part of that formula.

LATE SPRING

  • 1. Shrub Pruning: For most flowering spring shrubs, wait until after they have bloomed to prune them.
  • 2. Plant: After the danger of the last frost in your region, plant your annuals in the garden. I know we get itchy and want to get those beautiful plants into the ground, but if you do so too soon, their beauty quickly fades as death grabs a strangle hold upon them. Patience is one of the lessons the garden tries to teach us.
  • 3. Take pictures: Keep a photographic record of what you are creating. It is fun to go back and see what has transpired over time. A pictorial journal is also a good way to keep a year to year record. Save some time next season by remembering what worked and what didn’t during this current season when you look back over your garden photos.
  • 4. Enjoy Mother Nature: Regardless of the season, take some time to enjoy the beauty of the current season. Sit up, take notice and breathe in the joyful treasures we are gifted with when we connect with our Earth Mother. So as we started, so too we end, Happy Gardening!

Three E-Commerce Mistakes to Avoid

By Gobala Krishnan
Today it’s easier than ever to start an e-commerce website. There are just so many tools and resources available now, that was not even heard of just a couple of years ago. Nevertheless, many newbies still make some fundamental mistakes when starting their first ecommerce site. This article reveals some of the most important pillars of any successful e-commerce venture.

Choose a Moderately Sized Niche Market

You cannot, and should not, try to be the next Amazon. Selling everything under the sun is not easy, cheap, or really necessary. Amazon have tried for years to be profitable and only been successful in doing so a few years back.

On the same note, don’t make the mistake of selecting a niche market that is way too tiny. You’ve probably read e-books that tell you to explore obscure niche markets. It’s true that in such markets it’s easier to make money since there is less competition. However, fewer competitors can also mean less profit on the table, and a smaller audience.

Ideally, your target market should be not too broad yet not too narrow. Look for potential growth in your market as well. You don’t want to end up serving a shrinking market.

Don’t Spend Too Much Time on Software

The right software will make or break your new e-commerce venture. However, some marketers prefer to go for open sources system because it’s free. If you choose open source software, remember that it’s still going to cost money and time to develop it into something you want.

At the end of the day, you may have spent more than you expected. That’s why I always recommend new marketers to go for ready-made e-commerce shopping cart systems that are web-based. Doing this will save you a lot of valuable time. The time you save can easily be used to market your site and get more traffic.

Web-based shopping cart systems tend to come with a multitude of interesting web templates you can use on your store. This helps you to get the design you want for your store. To make your site more unique and accurately represent your brand, a little tweaking may be required.

Overcome Backend Issues as Quickly as Possible

Having an e-commerce store is just one part of a successful e-commerce business. There’s tons of other backend stuff you need to take care of too.

For example, shipping and delivery is a major concern. Take some time to carefully design and test your backend processes. Otherwise, you may end up with a lot of grumpy customers. That’s never a good thing for your brand or profitability in the long run.

A successful ecommerce business always has products in stock and always delivers fast. Take things like this for granted at your own peril.

Check out the BigCommerce review site to see how a web-based e-commerce store should be.

eBook Design – How Many Pages Should Your eBook Have?

By Glen Ford

One of the first things you need to decide before you write your eBook is to decide how large to make it. After all, much of what you need to do depends heavily on how large your eBook is.

Of course, how long your eBook needs to be will vary from that demanded by the market. You also need to decide how long your subject needs. After all, your customers are paying for content, not fluff. However, you still need to be in that range in order to be treated seriously.

Unfortunately, the eBook market is currently in flux. Even more unfortunately, that also applies to the number of pages your eBook should have.

One thing that hasn’t changed is that the number of pages your eBook should have depends greatly on the purpose you will use it for.

eBooks offered for sale, have been traditionally much shorter than a traditional book. Fifty to one hundred pages was quite common for eBooks. In theory, this was because the eBook was much harder to read and use.

However, with the entry of traditional books into the eBook market there has been pressure to reduce the price of eBooks and also to increase the size to the same size as traditional books. Traditionally, executive books have run from one hundred to two hundred pages. However, like most traditionally published books they are under pressure to increase in size. While the market has been slow to react it is likely that 200 pages will be the new target for eBooks within a few years.

On the other hand, there is, has been and likely always will be a market for the very short eBook of less than 40 pages. These eBooks are used to answer or solve a single question. For example, you might have a report discussing the effect on the market for white papers and reports of changes in the eBook market. These eBooks have been the traditional justification for reduced pages in the eBook market. However, they really are a different but related market. The biggest change that can be expected is the removal of the eBook description and the return to the terms report or white paper. This will allow these mini-eBooks to be sold as a separate market unaffected by the dropping price of eBooks.

Free eBooks are traditionally shorter than a for-sale eBook but longer than the white paper. After all, you don’t really want to spend a great deal of effort on something you are going to give away. Traditionally they ran below 50 pages. In fact, many free eBooks were really only reports or white papers. However, even free eBooks will likely be affected by the increased expectations. It is likely that free eBooks will segment into 50 plus page eBooks and shorter free white papers.

Giving Your Time

By Angela Mwema
Jesus said, when you help the needy, you touch the very heart of God. Many Christians are living unfulfilled lives because they do not give what God has given them to the less fortunate. You do not expect God to give you if you do not share what you have with someone else. He says according to the measure with which you measure, it shall be measured to you too. This means that God comes though for you according to how much you are there for others.

Service to God does not mean working in the church. It means being out there giving to the needy.

If you look at the life of Jesus Christ here on earth, he was always with the poor and needy. He made sure that he was at service to them. He had compassion for them and even miraculously fed them with real food.

What matters to God most should be our top priority in life. The needy and poor are closest to God’s heart. What are you doing for them? Are you making somebody’s life better?

Giving to the needy opens for you doors prayers and fasting could not.

What is the use of God giving you your dream job if you only use up that money on yourself. God does not bless you for your own use but so that you can be a blessing to another person.

You might not have much to give right now but there is something you can give regardless of your situation. This will make God to remember you too for we all are poor and needy before God.
